KMOX, Johnny Rabbit and a painting that no one wants

"You've got the face for radio."

Yesterday, I had the pleasure to sit down with Johnny Rabbit at KMOX News in St. Louis and chat about the "painting that no one wants". Frank Duveneck's "Yacht Harbor" painting was found several years ago in an abandoned school building. It was once the top prize, donated to St. Louis Public Schools, and was exhibited at the 1904 World's Fair. Today, the painting sits propped up against the wall at SLPS headquarters, waiting for a public institution or corporate sponsor to accept the painting on long-term loan.

I remain hopeful and am working with SLPS to find a home once again for this painting, a piece of St. Louis history.
