Squire and Mother Duveneck paintings to be re-united once again

The painting of Squire Duveneck (right) has recently identified as the missing pair to Frank Duveneck's portrait of his mother. Upon close inspection of the Squire Duveneck painting in its original frame, I remembered seeing a portrait of Duveneck's mother in a similar frame on the website of Mary Ran Gallery. Although the Squire portrait is from 1875 and the Mother portrait dates from 1879, I assume at one point in time they were displayed together. Same dimensions: 25" x 30".

I don't know the last time they were seen together. Squire Duveneck passed down through family since 1972. Excellent provenance since then.
